Over 85% of of all internet users use search engines to navigate to the content that they are interested in. You will read and see websites out there that promise to submit your website to thousands and thousands of search engines. At first glance that might sound like a really good deal, but what they don't tell you is how many people actually use those search engines! Or even better, that some of those search engines are just asking the "Search Provider" for content and just recycling it back to you in their own pretty look and feel and adding in their own advertisements.

One misconception that a lot of website owners have is that once you get to the top page for a specific keyword is that they will stay there. The Internet is constantly evolving and content is always being refreshed. If you are not refreshing your content and making sure that your site gets reindexed often, you won't be listed on the top page very long.
